Versatile should be the name of these things as what you can do with them never ends. The easy choice is to just start stacking them on top of each other like Lego and make solid sandstone dry pack retaining walls. However, with a level and some mortar you could build an entire house out of them!. Besides cutting and splitting them into any style of cladding here is a few more things that people do with them.
SOLID STONE STAIR CASE...
Can be laid as solid stone steps with anything from soil, stone or concrete as a substrate base. Riser hight can be governed by how deep you lay each one behind the other. Starting at 300x1200 by about 300mm(on the quarry sawn sides) they make for very comfortable tread breadth.
CUT IN HALF TO DOUBLE YOUR STEPS
Once cut in half they still are 150x300x1200mm so laid on a 10mm join end up very easy going stairs (on the wallet too).
ROCK-TOP CAPS...
Cut in half and with some stone skills these blocks can be pitched into rock-top caps with various finishes up to 300mm broad and 150mm high at the full 1200mm length. Also yielding a two for one deal meaning you'll get up to 2.4 metres of caps per block!
